A bilingual Arabic and English marketplace for comparing and booking event venues in Saudi Arabia, with a portal for venue owners.
Project overview
MetaEvent helped customers in Saudi Arabia find and book venues for weddings and events, including wedding halls, hotel halls and chalets. Customers searched by venue type, city and date, compared venues side by side, and booked packages online.
Venue owners ran their own listings through a separate portal, covering packages, date-based pricing, availability, reservations, inquiries and reviews. The operator managed vendors, commissions, content and translations from an admin back office. Arabic was the default language, with full right-to-left layouts, and English was available throughout.
Scope of work
- 01Venue search by type, city and date, with side-by-side comparison
- 02Online booking with card payments in Saudi riyals, deposits, and automatic release of unpaid reservations
- 03Vendor portal with an approval workflow, availability calendar, packages, reservations and finance reports
- 04Platform commission with per-venue rates, monthly reports and PDF invoices
- 05Arabic right-to-left and English interfaces with translatable content
- 06Email and SMS notifications with per-user preferences
